Anime to Watch During Christmas!

Hello everyone!
How are you doing?  I'm in France at this moment and I'll stay here until January!
Christmas is coming, everybody is getting into that holiday spirit and I thought to my self: I can make a small list of anime to watch during this month!

Grab some popcorn, get comfortable and enjoy this post!

Let's get started!

1. 5 Centimeters Per Second (Byousoku 5 Centimeter)

Type: Movie
Episodes: 3
Status: Finished Airing
Aired: Feb 16, 2007 to Mar 3, 2007
Plot: Takaki Toono and Akari Shinohara, two very close friends and classmates, are torn apart when Akari's family is transferred to another region of Japan due to her family's job. Despite separation, they continue to keep in touch through mail. When Takaki finds out that his family is also moving, he decides to meet with Akari one last time.
As years pass by, they continue down their own paths, their distance slowly growing wider and their contact with one another fades. Yet, they keep remembering one another and the times they have shared together, wondering if they will have the chance to meet once again.

5 Centimeters Per Second is a great drama, with great snow scenes  and it makes you feel melancholic and you also think about all sorts of things.
This anime will also make you want to get in touch with old friends and family.
Why don't you do that then? :)

2. ef: A Tale of Memories

Type: TV
Episodes: 12
Status: Finished Airing
Aired: Oct 7, 2007 to Dec 23, 2007

On Christmas Eve, Hiro Hirono runs into Miyako Miyamura, a frivolous girl who "borrows" his bicycle in order to chase down a purse thief. After Hiro finds his bicycle wrecked and Miyako unconscious, the two unexpectedly spend their Christmas Eve together, and when they discover they go to the same high school, their accidental relationship develops even further. This sparks the jealousy of Hiro's childhood friend Kei Shindou, whose pure approach to life catches the eye of Kyosuke Tsutsumi, a womanizing photographer searching for the perfect shot.

Elsewhere, Renji Asou, a boy who dreams of being a girl's knight in shining armor, has a chance encounter with Kei's twin sister—the overly shy Chihiro Shindou, who spends her time reading alone—at an abandoned train station. The two quickly become friends and eventually decide to write a novel together. However, when Renji discovers Chihiro's secret, a disability that causes her to have an eternally ephemeral memory, his childish ideals will be put to the test.

Guided by two mysterious adults, these youths' relationships intertwine in a heart-rending tale of love, rejection, acceptance, and memories.

This story only begins on Christmas, but I think it's still a great holiday show. The fact that there are two separate stories that are connected in a way, adds some type of depth and character development.
You will definitely feel love, joy and you will also feel the need to help other people to make them even happier.

3. Toradora!

Type: TV
Episodes: 25
Status: Finished Airing
Aired: Oct 2, 2008 to Mar 26, 2009
After classroom rearrangements, Ryuuji Takasu ends up in the same classroom as his best friend and his crush, Minori Kushieda. Minori’s best friend is Taiga Aisaka a tiny little firecracker with whom Ryuuji forms an agreement to help each other get close to their respective crushes. Of course, all this working together might end up with Ryuuji and Taiga developing feelings for each other…
Toradora! is not a Christmas anime, but some parts of the plot occurs during Christmas. This anime is full of beautiful and happy moments, love triangles, awkward moments, among other things.
It is perfect to watch during Christmas time!
